What is Benadryl Allergy Syrup Child?
Benadryl Allergy Childrens 1 Mg/Ml Oral Solution treats children over the age of 2 years who are suffering from hay fever and year-round allergies such as dust or pet allergies. It can also be used to treat the symptoms of urticaria (hives -where the skin looks blotchy, with white raised bumps, surrounded by redness)
The medicine contains cetirizine dihydrochloride which is an antihistamine that helps relieve allergy symptoms associated with the above conditions, such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and skin rashes.
Children aged 2 – 6 years: Give one 2.5 ml spoonful in the morning and one 2.5 ml spoonful in the evening.
Children aged 6 – 12 years: Give one 5 ml spoonful in the morning and one 5 ml spoonful in the evening.
Adults and children aged
12 years and above: Give two 5 ml spoonfuls once a day
If this product makes you feel drowsy, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption when taking this medicine. It is advised that you stop taking this product for 3 days before undergoing a skin allergy test because antihistamines can affect the results of the test
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Not to be given to children under the age of 2 years.
The allergy solution can have side effects, although these are usually mild. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any of the following: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, dry mouth, upset stomach or fits.
